Montepulciano and quality wine: this bond is deep-rooted in history and it is here in this southeastern area of Tuscany that wines of exceptional quality are made, making this land seem almost “privileged”.
On 12 July 1966 a presidential decree was issued to recognise the "Vino Nobile di Montepulciano" D.O.C. (Controlled Designation of Origin), and to regulate production.
On 1st July 1980 the Vino Nobile became Italy’s first wine to bear the D.O.C.G. seal (Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin), which placed it among the most prestigious wines in our country and the world.
